The nodal point of NIOS is in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh. The NIOS schooling system functions through five departments, classifying into 11 regional centres, and a total 3367 accredited study centres in India and overseas. Currently, around 1.5 million students participate at the secondary and higher secondary levels offered by the program.
